Nautica Shiraz

Rockcliffe Nautica Shiraz, made only in outstanding years, is sourced from a dry grown vineyard in Frankland, where the soils are rich in minerals.

The fruit, including some whole bunches, is fermented in small vessels. Gentle plunging extracts tannins from the grape skins. The wine is then pressed to French oak barrels, roughly equal parts new and seasoned, to age.

The best barrels are selected to comprise the final blend. The wine is bottled without fining and only light filtration.

Red purple, Rockcliffe Nautica Shiraz has dark forest fruit flavours and a long, smoky finish. Cellaring potential is 10 years.
